We are all for making New Year’s resolutions, but you need to stick with them. Data shows that around 30% of people drop their resolutions by the end of January, and half of them give up by the summer. To truly stick with your resolution, you need to create a series of smaller goals for yourself. This will make your resolution much more attainable!
Get to the Bottom of Your Resolution
Resolutions are vague in nature, so figure out what it is you really want out of it. If your resolution is to be healthier, for example, find out what that means to you. Is it getting more whole foods in your diet, losing weight, working out more often, feeling more confident, or fixing your sleep schedule?
Rank Your Objectives
Determine what is most important to you. Once you’ve gotten to the bottom of your resolution you can start to rank the most important goal you have and go from there. Try to limit yourself to only a handful of objectives, otherwise, you may become burnt out or overwhelmed.
Start Your Plan
You’ll need a plan to start your journey. Put down in writing what it is you want to do and how you will do it. Make sure that your plan is realistic for you and is something that you can follow. Do check-ins periodically to ensure you are keeping up!
Following these steps will help you achieve your goals this year and set you up for success in the future!
