Table of Contents

Fashion:             New York Fashion Week, 7 – 15 February

London Fashion Week, 15 – 19 February

Milan Fashion Week, 19 – 25 February

Paris Fashion Week, 25 February – 5 March

This year’s NYFW will see for the first time both men and women’s collections running consecutively – with Tom Ford’s collections being the first to bridge the gap between the two.  Collections will also be seen by Longchamp and newcomer Palm Angels, with their exciting Milan based streetwear brand.

Also showcasing at this year’s NYFW will be Vietnamese fashion designer, Nguyen Cong Tri, who will be presenting the latest designs for this year’s cold-season with the consultant of stylist Kate Young.  Also taking her latest collections to the New York runway is Phuong My who is known for her feminine and elegant styles.

In London we see designer Gayeon Lee’s collection making its way down the runway as well as collections by Victoria Beckham, Burberry, and Vivienne Westwood.  Pringle of Scotland and Aspinal of London will also be showing their collections, while at this year’s event we will also see shows from London based Fine Jewellery and ready-to-wear designer Natasha Zinko.

It’s street style all the way for this year’s Milan Fashion Week.  With displays from fashion house Prada and big brand label Fendi, we can expect to see a lot of monograms, harnesses, and balaclavas taking stage on the catwalks.

Paris Fashion Week might be the last of the Fashion Weeks’ shows to take place, but indeed, it is not the least, as we see industry professionals such as CELINE, Off-White and Louis Vuitton being just some of the key brands showcasing their collections for autumn and winter.

We will also see Fumito Ganryu’s follow up collection after his return to the fashion industry as well as Kim Jones’ showcase of Dior Homme, and this is only the start.

With all 4 of the big fashion weeks taking place in February, fashion professionals certainly have a packed month ahead!

Honouring the best of films in 2018, the Oscars is host to some of the biggest celebrity names in the industry, and for fashion professionals, we wait with bated breath to see the stunning designs and collections that grace the entrance into the Dolby Theatre.  Set for skin-tight silhouettes and ample décolletage from brands we admire, and some new names too, the Oscars 2019 is set to offer us it all.

For celebrity style innovation and sophistication as we head into 2019, make sure to tune in to this year’s Oscars.

Music:                        Grammy Awards 11th February, Los Angeles

Brit Awards 20th February, London

Two of the biggest music festivals of all time are scheduled to take place next month providing an opportunity for celebrities to showcase and experiment with fashion styles (and celebrate a year of music too of course!).

Celebrities such as Lady Gaga never fail to bring fearless fashion to such events, other notables are Jessie J who loves to mix up her fashion style and the irrepressible Madonna, hopefully moving on from her slight fashion mishap with the cape back in 2015 – how could we forget!

However, with an effortless sense of quirky style predicted for the awards in 2019, we look forward to what the awards have to offer.  Oh! And most importantly those brilliant and show-stopping after party looks!
