Where and When:
January:
London 5th – 7th
Milan 11th – 14th
Paris 15th – 20th
What: This is the exciting part. With news that January will focus on youth and gender fluidity, in 2019 we can expect to see many new faces and collections, as well as those big designer labels returning to the January shows.
For example, the three-day event in London will see heritage fashion labels such as Barbour and Belstaff returning to the show; with fashion designers from E. Tautz to Oliver Spencer remaining a big feature.
Alongside these big names are those new talents, and recent discoveries who are bringing something new to the industry — discoveries such as Feng Chen Wang, who we are all watching when it comes to his cool, visionary outerwear, or Paria Farzaneh, who is perhaps best known for her Iranian family heritage show back in June.
In Paris, the biggest news hitting the headlines is the announcement of the return of fashion designer Givenchy to the January runway!
Paris Fashion Week will also see the who’s who of fashion professionals, such as Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens, Off-White, Raf Simons and CELINE to name but a few! It’s also exciting to know that we’ll be seeing Fumito Gannryu’s follow up collection, hotly anticipated since his return to the industry.
January 2019 is a packed month for fashion professionals and undoubtedly one to stay tuned to, kick-starting the year with some exciting showcases and collections.
