Mental health has, and is at the forefront of more and more conversations over recent years and certainly months! It’s great to see that as a world-wide community, we’re doing so much more to raise awareness of mental health and how it can, unfortunately, affect anyone at any time.
Many people suffering from mental health do so in silence. Too afraid to admit that something’s not quite right, too embarrassed to talk to someone about how they are really feeling.
It is this stigma that many are now trying to change, all by speaking out. Speaking about their experiences and publicly opening up about their own struggles.
That’s precisely what Rapper Cenzy aims to tackle with the release of his new album and songs (New World: If you want it). To bring positive change and expel the stigma around mental health.
From relationships to mental health, the demons he sometimes faces to his daughter’s love, Cenzy’s new album covers all aspects of his life and some of the personal difficulties he has faced over the years.
Breaking down barriers and feeling that you have a voice and that someone is listening is one of the biggest issues faced.
Cenzy talks openly about the challenges he has faced, struggling with anxiety, and trying to commit suicide, and wants to share his experiences to show people that you can get through it. There are people out there to help, to talk to, who have suffered just like you.
Cenzy now surrounds himself in positive energy and with positive people, and he wants to spearhead this and bring down the walls and stigma through music.
In addition, all proceeds from the release of his new music will be going towards mental health.
We would love to hear about your experience; especially how Corona has effected your life: co*****@fa**********.com
