Fashion brand Zara takes spring/summer fashion trends in its stride

Table of Contents

With the new spring/summer collections now upon us, we have been wowed at this year’s Fashion Week by the array of designs and collections hitting the catwalks.

Jumping straight into those spring and summer vibes is fashion brand, Zara. Introducing three particular clothing items, which are certainly getting it right when it comes to following the latest fashion trends of 2019, so far.

Fashion to look out for

  1. The return of the Neo Boho trend

The hippy modernism feature is very much on trend as we head into 2019, presenting a look and style that is designed to create a relaxed and sensual look.

We start with the epitome of smart, yet casual; leggings with zip detail by Zara.

Retailing at £19.99, these leggings, according to Zara’s product description, are your standard elasticated waistband leggings; however, what makes them this year’s “on trend” piece is the hem has a front metallic zip hidden within the seams.

Projecting a look of style without trying too hard, the leggings compliment beautifully when paired with handcrafted jewellery, crochet pieces, and raffia accessories; this definitive 70’s vibe is very much on trend for spring 2019.

Introducing pieces with natural yet warm colours, those that clash with scarf dresses, fringing, artisan knits, geometric prints and more, this style was spotted throughout Fashion Week on catwalk displays by Victoria Beckham, Oscar de la Renta, and JW Anderson, to name a few!

  1. Sheer folk elements

For the spring and summer of 2019, there will be no getting away from the folk styling elements of fashion design, and if we’re to take anything from emerging trends; crochet style weaves, and macramé applique will be a sure thing throughout this coming Spring.

For some, this style sees artisanal handiwork go high-end.

For Zara, they’ve introduced their semi-sheer embroidered tunic detail, priced at £69.99.

This long V-neck tunic comes with short sleeves, featuring a hem with side vents and matching embroidered detail.

Very fitting with the latest catwalk trends which were all about skin-bearing fabrics, with Saint Laurent showcasing barely-there tops and shirts and fashion designer Roksanda showcasing their sheer dresses for the season – semi-sheer or sheer popularity, these pieces are rising at a dramatic rate!

  1. Lace becomes remodelled to be more “down with the kids”

Zara has shown yet again a keen eye for street-ware, perhaps epitomised by their combined bomber jacket, at £49.99.

This piece sees Zara pulling out all the stops. With a round neckline, long sleeves, ribbed trims, side pockets and metal zip fastenings at the front, this surely cements its place in spring fashion.

Working lace into more masculine pieces and collections, Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane, and fashion brand, Erdem also showed us last month, how to rework fashion to suit a new style and season!

These top three trends for Spring and Summer 2019 have set the bar high. Now available, we love the new collections and seeing first-hand what fashion labels are bringing to the floor.

We’re now even more excited for the sun to start shining and the evenings to get lighter.
